Join us for The Quiet Run™ Workshop, crafted to captivate runners of all levels. Delve into the realms of breathing, mindfulness, and the profound connection between mind and body.

In this dynamic workshop, you will:

  • Master breathing mechanics
  • Cultivate resilience for the long runs and tough workouts
  • Establish the groundwork for longevity in running
  • Elevate your entire journey as a runner

This isn't your average running gathering. Our workshop is a hands-on session where we explore breathwork, tune into internal sensations, embark on mindful runs as a collective, and engage in active meditation.

ℹ️ Structure of the event

8:00 - 8:10 Intro, warm up breathwork

8:10 - 9:00 Trail run

9:00 - 9:10 Cool down breathwork

We'll kick things off with an educational intro and dive straight into the practical breathwork. Beginning with deep breathing techniques, we'll transition into interoceptive awareness exercises. Wrapping up this segment, we'll use upregulating breathing techniques, priming both body and mind for mindful running. 

Next up, the active segment: The Quiet Run. We will hit the local trails together, putting our newfound skills into action, feeling the synergy of breath, interoception, and mindfulness merge as we move together.

Post-run, it's time to unwind and recharge. Discover specific techniques to soothe your nervous system to facilitate successful recovery.

  • Gain a solid grasp of the fundamentals of breathing mechanics
  • Acquire specialized breathing techniques to elevate your breath mechanics
  • Master the up and down regulation breathing techniques

Every Saturday, at 8 AM PST.

🏃🏻‍♀️ How long is the run?

The route is approx. 5 miles (8 km) of sandy trails with approx. 470 feet (143 m) of elevation gain.

💨 What pace do we run?

We will run about 9:30-10:30 min/mile pace.

🏃🏻‍♀️ About your running coach

Alla Shashkina is a certified running coach (ISSA, UESCA), a sub-3 marathoner, ultra-runner, certified trauma-informed breathwork facilitator and breath science practitioner.

❗Please note that breathwork has a number of counter indications. Before RSVP'ing, please fill in this 📄 Health Declaration and Liability Waiver Form carefully and attend only if you have no medical issues listed and you agree with the Release of Liability.❗️
